When should I book my Bridal Consultation?
As early as possible! We recommend booking your initial fitting/consultation as soon as you’ve purchased your dress.
We require at least 3 months to complete Bridal alterations. Any consultations booked less than 3 months prior to your wedding will incur a 25% surcharge for expedited completion.

How much do Bridal alterations cost?
Pricing for bridal alterations, especially Vintage Dresses can vary greatly depending on the alterations required, condition and construction of the dress.
Our Bridal alteration services generally range from $150 - $950. We recommend budgeting at least $500 for alterations.

Do you only work with Vintage Bridal?
At Reparation Studio, Vintage Bridal Alterations is our specialty. We are proud to work closely with Love James Bridal, however we also work with individual clients to create the perfect fit and finish for your special day.

Do you re-work vintage dresses?
Absolutely! Re-working vintage dresses is a service we specialise in. Whether you have a vision for a heirloom piece or a vintage dress that’s full of potential, we will work with you to create a unique and truly one of a kind garment for your special day.
Pricing for full re-works starts from $850 and we require 6-12 months to execute your vision.

What should I bring to my first Consultation?
In addition to the dress or garments to be altered, please come prepared with the undergarments and shoes you intend to wear.
If you do not have the exact items purchased yet, please bring something similar, for example: a shoe with a similar heel height to what you intend to wear and bra with similar padding if you will be wearing one.
Feel free to bring your veil, any additional accessories, and options for shoes if you would like to see the whole look come together or would like a second opinion on styling.

Do you make Custom Veils and Accessories?
Yes! We love helping our brides with additional accessories to complement their Bridal Look. From silk scarves, and veils to hair accessories and fabric corsages, we would love to assist in making your vision come to life, prioritising vintage and deadstock fabrics wherever possible.

Do you make Bespoke Wedding Dresses?
Unfortunately, Bespoke Bridal is not a service that we currently offer. However, Jess will be happy to advise on local makers that could make your bespoke vision come to life. Please email Jess for advice.
